Kerb Ramps

Kerb ramps are sloped transitions that connect footpaths to roads or other surfaces that are higher up.

Alright! Time to test out how well you listened!

They make it easier for wheelchair users or those with mobility difficulties to smoothly cross the road. Can you imagine them trying to get over a kerb without the slope?!

In this video, pay attention on how to measure them and what to look for.

Subcategorising Kerb Ramps will be a little different to other features, as this feature includes two measurements. To subcategorise kerb ramps, you will need to take both of the numbers and add them together to find the difference.

For example, if your measurement is 4.3r and 3.1f, then you will add these two together to get 7.4. You will subcategorise this kerb ramp in the ‘6.0 - 8.9 Degrees’ subcategorisation.
